Gilles Vaton 100 – Overview & Refit Summary A high-performance carbon-Nomex composite cruiser-racer designed by Gilles Vaton and launched by JMV Industries in 2004. Built with a hydraulic lifting keel offering a draught of up to 5.6 meters, this yacht delivers exceptional sailing performance in all conditions. The yacht features a sleek, modern exterior design paired with a warm, traditionally styled molded wood interior, creating a distinctive and elegant atmosphere. The spacious salon is divided into dining and lounge areas and underwent a full interior refit in 2022, including new carpeting, upholstery, and wall panels. Accommodation includes four double cabins for up to eight guests — three forward, including the master suite, and one aft — along with separate crew quarters conveniently located near the navigation area. The exterior offers a central cockpit with a large folding dining table for eight, protected by a sprayhood and bimini top. Aft, a dedicated manoeuvring cockpit allows for easy handling without disturbing guest comfort. A unique feature of this yacht is the carbon boom with foldable side wings that assist in sail handling and provide a safe working surface — a solution rarely seen on other yachts. Titanium fittings, ladders, and bimini supports emphasize lightness, strength, and superior build quality. The yacht has been consistently maintained and upgraded, with the latest refit in 2022–2023 including a complete keel service, new summer and winter biminis, and new mattresses and cushions. All services to the engine, A/C, generator, hydraulics, hull, and propeller are carried out every season.
